  until 1990 they were a straightforward publishing business with the tremendous advantage of free labour in production and free distribution agents.

  since then they've been relying on donations for literature to keep the old model going.

  It is definitely a stupid way to bring in money for the organization. This corporation is on it way to financial oblivion. That's what happens when you get a bunch of brain dead delusional old guys to run a corporation eventually everything goes to pot.

  Kaku must be stupid cuz in too stupid to understand him.

  In order to understand him and really get it one would need a good back round in Physics, so it takes a small leap of faith in his credentials as a educator for the majority of us to get some idea that he knows what he is talking about.

  as shepherdless pointed out on another thread, the watchtower business model of using free labour to produce and sell books and magazines for profit started to break down when charging for the literature ended in 1990, and has now begun disintegrating completely in the face of the internet and declining donations.

  over this same period there has been a noted increase in hardline rhetoric on disfellowshipping and pushing early baptism.

  might these hardline trends actually be related to their money woes?

  I think you are completely right. These members of the GB are supposed to be business men that give directives for the corporation, they have throw to the curb any moral duty they have toward it's members welfare it seems and are interested only in the financial survival of the corporation. They seem to be in such a financial jam that they have little time to contemplate the hardships they are putting their loyal members through and can only think of how to save the sinking ship WatchTanic.

  To them it is all just numbers and what is best for the corporation and figuring out what to tell their members to keep them pacified and get more assets from. They are purely in that mode of thinking and in denial of very important facts and so they will only get worse and worse the more desperate they become till the whole thing goes up in smoke.
